Pee on Your Feet!

Pee on Your Feet (Not literally, read on)

(Football locker room reference) It is not a proven fact that if you pee on your feet it will get rid of athlete’s foot, but for the sake of this article, it is not as literal.  So, stop walking to the bathroom to cure your athlete’s foot and read on.  When I say pee on your feet, I mean free yourself from the people or environment that is holding you back or even worse, bringing you down.

But how do you do that? What if the person that brings me down is family?  You can remove them from your life by keeping them at a distance.  Their drama should not become your drama.

There is some truth to “We are a product of our environment.”  The likely-hood of getting in trouble if you are in a bad neighborhood or environment is pretty high.  However, if you take control of your environment, the likely hood of positive movement is much higher.  (Example, I grew up in a tough neighborhood… But, I turned to sports and looked for other role models to take control of my environment).

(Keeping drama out of your life gives you peace of mind and allows you to focus on your goals and objectives…) I think we can all think of at least one person that has a drama filled life and maybe you are that person.  Bad things or controversy always seem to follow that person.  They always say, “Man, I have bad luck!”  That is a load of crap.  If you continue to put yourself in bad situations and make bad choices, bad things are inevitably going to happen.  It is not bad luck, it is not poor me.  It’s bad choices!

If you are one of these people or know one of these people here me loud and clear, it is time to start taking responsibility for your environment and your own actions.  Life is much easier without the distractions of drama.  Start removing yourself from these types of environments and these type of people.  Even if it is family that is the problem, it doesn’t matter.  You will soon find your life becoming a little easier day after day.  If you ever have the thought, “Is what I am doing right now right or wrong”, most likely it is wrong.  It may not be illegal, but simply because you have to ask yourself that question I would error on the side of caution.

Remember this, “If you do the little things right, the big things will just naturally happen.”  What does that mean?  It means if you study for the test, you will get a better grade.  If you go the speed limit, you won’t get a ticket.  If you tell the truth, you don’t have to worry about getting caught in a lie.  Do you see where I am going with this?  It seems so simple, because it really is that simple.  Many of life’s lessons and greatest advice are very simple and come from a foundation of good ethics and morals.  So do yourself a favor and “Pee on Your Feet” and see how much easier life can be for you!
